China's leading meetings, incentives and business travel exhibition taking place from 17 - 19 September 2014 at the China National Convention Centre (CNCC), Beijing, is finalising an exciting events programme to give participants further opportunities to network and connect with exhibitors and enhance their industry knowledge

Jacqui Timmins, Exhibition Director CIBTM and AIME, Reed Travel Exhibitions commented, “Year on year, CIBTM has led the way in creating an annual forum that delivers business opportunities, professional education and networking events - critical to the development of the meetings sector across mainland China.”

Networking will kick off on Tuesday 16th September, with the Hosted Buyer Ice-Breaker reception at the Hotel Maximilian Beijing, followed by the CIBTM Welcome Reception at China National Convention Centre on the following day, providing the perfect platform to meet new contacts, strengthen existing relationships and meet friends and colleagues.

The education programme for CIBTM is another key component of the show and its popularity has grown exponentially over the years, proving how valuable the event is to the growing MICE industry in China. It offers a cutting edge professional knowledge programme providing local and global knowledge, experiences and expertise via seminars to an international audience. Led by some of the most influential industry experts, the seminars cover a wide variety of topics, including the latest key issues and developments.

The International Association of Exhibitions and Events™ (IAEE) has teamed up once again with CIBTM to host qualified meeting planners at its event. The IAEE will also co-produce education content, focusing on expertise and best practice for the exhibitions and the events industry at CIBTM 2014.

On Friday 19th September, Rob Davidson, global conference research guru will present one of the key sessions, which proved one of the most popular at last year’s event, the 2nd China MICE Buyers Report. This newly updated and dedicated research will highlight the factors that are most important to Chinese meeting planners when making decisions on the location of their events. The results will be compared to last year's report to look at how behaviour has developed over the year and to start to identify new trends.

The Middle East Pavilion has also been created to respond to the specific demand of the business events and meetings professionals in the Middle East to explore business development across China and Asia. The Pavilion will provide a focus for both established and newer exhibitors from the region to showcase their products and services to CIBTM’s qualified senior level association, incentive, business travel and corporate meeting planners from China, Asia and the rest of the world.

Exhibitors who have confirmed their attendance at CIBTM 2014 include: Guilin, Guangzhou, Bolshoi and Russia, Jeju Convention Bureau Canadian Tourism Commission, Korea Tourism Organization, Instituto Nacional de Promocion Turistica Argentina, Madrid Convention Bureau, Thailand Convention Bureau, Vienna Convention Bureau, Langham Hotels, Visit Berlin, Sri Lanka Convention Bureau, Tourism New Zealand, Czech Tourism Authority, The Okura Hotel Group, Wyndham Hotels & Resorts, Accor Hotels, Run Yang International Hotel Management Co., Ltd., SkyTeam Airline Alliance, Cirque de Soleil, Guidebook Inc. and many more.

Finally, there will be, for the first time, a lot of exciting activity on the show floor including Chinese acrobats, Tai Chi sessions every morning, a calligraphy studio and a relaxation zone.
